GREEN SKILLS

PROJECTO EUROPEU NO ÂMBITO DO JUVENTUDE EM ACÇÃO DINAMIZADO PELA CAIXA DE MITOS EM PARCERIA COM A ASSOCIAÇÃO ACADÉMICA DE LISBOA E COM A CONFEDERAÇÃO DOS JOVENS AGRICULTORES E DO DESENVOLVIMENTO RURAL
The project we want to develop is a Feasibility Visit (Action 3.1 - Cooperation with Neighbouring Partner Countries of the EU), that will be held in Granada  with the following partners: Spain, Portugal, Lebanon and Egypt. The participants will be two youth workers for each country and there will be a total of ten participants.
The objective of this feasibility visit will be to identify the new green skills (knowledge and skills) in the content descriptors of the occupation of youth worker, which arise when the youth sector associations adapt to the environmental regulatory requirements. We intend to exchange good practices and experiences about environmental education which are found in each of the partner countries involved in this visit and increase the participation of young people in civic life of society in which they live, through the work of youth workers.
Spain, Portugal, Lebanon and Egypt are all Mediterranean countries but are in a geographical, economic and sociocultural different situation, we believe it will be very interesting to share our practices in the field of environmental education and identify what are the strong points and weaknesses of each.
This exchange of ideas and best practices will encourage respect for cultural diversity and stimulate awareness and reflection on the differences of environmental values that characterize each participating country.
In addition we will be able to improve and develop cooperation between these countries and hope that, through this initial dialogue, we will discover and define what are the environmental responsibilities that characterize the work of youth workers in countries so close but so far in the development of environmental practices. This project aims to provide a tool to improve social inclusion, active citizenship and recruit young people with fewer opportunities and contribute to social cohesion in general.
